New Evidence Released In 20 Year Old Mysterious Disappearance!

Josh Guimond’s case was featured on Unsolved Mysteries last month. He disappeared 20 years ago today from the St. John’s University campus in Collegeville, Minnesota. He was playing cards with some friends at an apartment on campus. He left the party and was never seen again.

No one at the party noticed that he had left. He didn’t take his glasses, wallet, car keys, or even his coat and it was an extremely cold night. He even left his schoolwork on his desk and his computer was still on. So it seems as if he had planned on returning home.

But detectives found that shortly after Josh vanished – 20 years ago today – someone had erased items from his computer hard drive.

The deleted images were finally uncovered last month – revealing a number of photos of young men.

Cops are now eager to learn more about any connections Josh may have had at the time – including those he may have made online.

Stearns County Sheriff Steve Soyka says while none of the people in the pictures have come forward themselves, the force has received over 50 tips from the public.

It was the day after the party that people noticed that no one had seen or heard from Josh. “The FBI and over 100 National Guard members joined at least 250 local volunteers in scouring the 16-square mile college campus area in the days which followed.” A private K-9 unit was brought in and they followed Josh’s scent to St. John’s Abbey as well as a frozen lake.

Though nothing was found inside the Abbey, there was a connection between Josh and the Abbey.

Some of the monks living on the property had a long history of sexual abuse which had outraged Josh at the time, according to his friends and family.

His family was shocked at how close the Abbey was to Josh’s apartment. After the lake thawed and they were able to search it, nothing was found there either. Josh’s family and friends still want answers. They deserve the answers and Josh deserves justice.
