Casey Anthony has broken her silence with accusations against her father George Anthony. She says he is the one who covered up her daughter’s death. In a series called Casey Anthony: Where The Truth Lies she claims that her dad staged the accidental drowning to cover up the fact that he was abusing her daughter Caylee.
“I was awoken by [my father] shaking me and asking me where Caylee was.
“That didn’t make sense. She would never even leave my room without telling me. I immediately started looking around the house. I go outside and I’m looking to see where she could be.”
She said: “He was standing there with her. She was soaking wet. He handed her to me. Said it was my fault. That I caused it.
“But he didn’t rush to call 911 and he wasn’t trying to resuscitate her. I collapsed with her in my arms. She was heavy, and she was cold.”
She added: “He takes her from me and he immediately softens his tone and says ‘It’s going to be ok.’
“I wanted to believe him. He took her from me and he went away.”
Casey also claims that her father and brother sexually abused her. George Anthony says he had nothing to do with Caylee drowning or the disposal of her body. He also denies ever abusing Casey. But Casey claims that she doesn’t believe that her daughter drowned in the pool and that her father and brother did sexually abuse her.
Casey was acquitted of her daughter’s murder in 2011. Why wait to tell the world what happened? Why now? Could she have been innocent all these years? Maybe the documentary will shed some light on these questions.
