Americans across the country are outraged and appalled by the level of corruption that is occurring in the White House. President Joe Biden’s recent classified document scandal has left many citizens feeling betrayed and violated, as it appears he was willing to go to great lengths to conceal his unethical actions.
The National Archives are requiring six former administrations to search their records for any classified information, which is a direct result of Biden being found in possession of such documents. This includes former presidents Barack Obama, George Bush, and Bill Clinton, as well as former vice presidents Dick Cheney, Al Gore, and Dan Quayle.
It seems these individuals were expected to adhere to the Presidential Records Act (PRA) even after their terms ended; however, this does not include Ronald Reagan or George Herbert Walker Bush who both passed away before this request was made. Representatives from four living former presidents have confirmed they turned over all relevant materials when leaving office. The vice presidents also complied with handing over classified documents accordingly.
Yet one individual remains silent throughout this entire process: current Vice President Kamala Harris. It appears she has no intention of speaking out about what happened or holding Biden accountable for his actions; leading some Republicans to believe she could be planning on pushing past Biden for a shot at the Oval Office herself.
The White House refused to comment on why Harris has stayed quiet despite claims they would be transparent following news of the leak breaking out into media outlets; further proving their lack of accountability and integrity when it comes to protecting our nation’s secrets.
This administration continues to show us time and time again how little respect they have for American citizens by attempting to cover up scandals like these instead of taking responsibility for their actions – a move that should never be tolerated regardless if you are Republican or Democrat. We must demand higher standards from our elected officials.
