Joe Biden and his administration are completely out of touch with economic reality. The latest inflation report shows that food prices at the grocery store are going up—not down as the President falsely claimed. Food prices have gone up 10.1 percent over the past 12 months and many common items such as eggs, cereals, and coffee have seen dramatic price increases.
This is yet another example of how this administration is failing to address the real issues faced by American families today—and it’s costing them dearly. Not only did Biden misinform Americans about food prices but his policies could cost them an extra $5,520 in 2023 alone. This means a loss of nearly $500 every month for hardworking Americans struggling to make ends meet due to skyrocketing costs of living under the current president’s policies.
Joe Biden does not understand what it takes for people to make ends meet or else he would not be making false claims about inflation and food costs when both are steadily rising across the country. Instead, he should be focusing on ways to lower these costs so that everyone can afford necessities without breaking the bank each month.
The bottom line is that Joe Biden needs to stop misrepresenting facts and start taking action on behalf of all Americans so they can get back on their feet financially following this difficult year. We need steady leadership we can trust—not misinformation from our leaders during already challenging times.
Biden: Food prices are coming down.
Reality: Grocery prices are up 11.8% from last year.
